Nepal

Nepal is in between India and China, along the Himalayan regions. Where the most beautiful amazing mountain ranges are present. Nepal has great diversity in history. I visited Nepal in 2017. I had a great experience living there. People are nice, kind, and respected.

Based on my exploration, I have stated about the places that I have visited. To be honest I came to Nepal only to see the places along the Himalayan regions but when reached their things get started changing. Following are some amazing places that you should also visit if you had a chance to go there in your life.

Amazing Places In Nepal

Popular destinations that I searched for In Nepal Before visiting:

  • Kathmandu: What you are going to see here; Temples, Shrines, and Durbar Square.
  • Pokhara: What you gonna see; Phewa Lake and the Annapurna Circuit.
  • Annapuma: It is a Mountain range.
  • Nagarkot: You will get Himalayan views.

Kathmandu

It is the capital and largest city of Nepal. It is filled with buildings that show the unstated beauty of Kathmandu. The shops and the street sellers and the smell of the goods that they sell is amazing. The aerial view describes the colorful decaying building of Kathmandu and its beauty. In 2015, an earthquake damaged some buildings severely. Durbar square was one of them.

The main highlight of Kathmandu is Durbar Square. I had a great time here with the people, buying the goods and looking closer at them. It is one of the three royal cities in Nepal. You must visit Kathmandu.

Bhaktapur

It is the third royal city in Nepal. It lies along the trade route to Tibet. It is present side to side with Kathmandu. This old trade route was a source of wealth for the people of Bhaktapur. The population is mostly Hindus as compared to Kathmandu. Durbar square connects three Riyal cities. Durbar square was also a major landscape to see in Bhaktapur.

There are some other temples and palaces located in Bhaktapur. As I stated above in 2015, an earthquake damaged Durbar square and other temples in Bhaktapur. The Durbar square and other temples are UNESCO World Heritage site.

Pokhara

Pokhara is the most scenic city in Nepal. It has some of the highest mountains in the world. It is a mountain range. It is a gateway to the Himalayas. Annapurna region is the most famous region in Pokhara.

It is the second most populated city in Nepal. In Kathmandu, the population is too much that you can’t feel the fresh air. But Pokhara being the second most populated city of Nepal doesn’t feel populated. It has fresh and cleaner air. Phewa lake is the most iconic destination in Pokhara. It has lakeside hotels, restaurants, and shops.

Annapurna Region

If you are a hiker then this is the best place for you. Three routes from different cities join here, you can opt for one of the three routes. It’s total fun. The treks are marked with easily understandable marks. There is a circuit called the Annapurna circuit which surrounds the Annapurna mountain. It takes 21 days to complete the circuit around Annapurna mountain.

There is a trek called, Poon Hill, which is the best in my view because many hikers go out in the early mornings to reach Poon Hills and to see the ‘Marvelous sunrise’.

You Must Visit!

Mount Everest

The world’s tallest mountain (29000) feet high, is located in Nepal. It is located around along the border of China and Nepal. It is the best place for both hikers and climbers. After 1953, when the New Zealander Edmund Hillary climbed Everest, it became a popular site for climbers and trekkers.

I went to Mt. Everest base camp with some Australian climbers. I had a great time with them, the Australian crew was Professional in their work. They offered me to climb with them or to stay for a week with them, but I said, I am not a professional climber like you. As I had a time shortage so I only spend two days with them exploring places around Mt. Everest.

Lumbini

It is a historic Budha Place. Buddhist around the world visits this place annually. I like this place because it is related to history. The people here are so nice, their belief in religion is firm and it really means for them. It has an incredible stone relief.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a village on highs, surrounded all around by fairy Mountains with white tops (the top of the mountains were covered with snow). There is a way, the locales call it ‘Daesh’ where you can get a stunning view of a lake which is 4000 feet down from the valley. The morning there is just amazing.

Gorgeous beauty, the locals offered me a tea when I was there, sitting and enjoying the view and tea. I felt how beautiful the world is, Mother Earth has given us places with true beauty. And what we did is, just diminished the beauty with pollution and industries.

White water Rafting

The river flow surrounded by big Mountains and lush areas is the best spot to spend time on the water. You can either go on a trip to water rafting from Kathmandu or Pokhara. You can spend a lot of time water rafting in this place. The truly Rafting Day Trip is open for the whole year. If you have time you can also go to Bhote Kosi River, which takes two days to reach there.

My Experience In Nepal

I have spent three weeks in Nepal. Most of the time traveling and exploring the natural beauty. I spent most of the time traveling to valleys surrounded by lush mountains which look, to be honest very cool. The people are very nice.

If you want to go to Nepal you must visit the places I have mentioned above. Along with that, there are some valleys in the highs on top mountains surrounded by huge mountains, which increase the landscape view score by 50 times.
